The Superintendent’s Safety Platica was hosted at Loma Park Elementary School, where students and families from Edgewood ISD were invited to partake in the event.
The event was created to help the school community learn, enjoy safety and culture, and receive donations. It was an event to entertain with games and have local family fun!
The local police who were invited to the event discussed neighborhood safety with students and their families. Local families learned how to watch out for criminal activity and what to do in those situations. The event was followed by Mexican cultural performances from the young students. Finally, the McKinney-Vento Homeless Program provided free shoes for the students who needed them.
