U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of America’s Best High Schools, Bridgeland, Cypress Woods, and Cypress Ranch high schools were among the top 1,400 high schools in the nation, while Cy-Fair, Langham Creek, and Cypress Creek high schools gave Cypress-Fairbanks ISD six schools among the top 3,400 nationwide.
Among the various factors used to rank the top institutions were graduation rates and students’ preparation for college. Using state and federal statistics, information from the 2020–2021 school year was gathered. Three of the six measures were altered in response to COVID-19’s effects.
The scoring system used a 100-point scale for the rankings. The best schools had students who performed above expectations on state exams, took part in a variety of college-level exams, passed them, and graduated in large numbers.
