Mr. Davis received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, and he is currently pursuing his doctoral degree from Texas A&M at Commerce. His past accomplishments as a school administrator include helping Corsicana ISD’s economically-disadvantaged population score double-digit gains in all three areas of the TAKS assessment, played an integral role in Mesquite ISD’s TEA “Recognized” rating in 2010, and led Wharton ISD from “Improvement Required” to “Met Standard” in 2015.Outside of the school environment, Mr. Davis is very faith-based, and he has been happily married to his wife, Stephanie (an elementary principal for Humble ISD) for the past 16 years. Together they have one son, King Davis III, who is a student-athlete attending New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M.
Sheldon ISD’s motto is “Every Child, Every Day.” Mr. Davis will continue to help shape and mold young minds so students may perform at their highest levels.
