Fort Sam Houston ISD CTE AP Photography
Fort Sam Houston ISD offers AP Photography course in CTE program at Robert G. Cole High School.
What is CTE AP Photography?
Fort Sam Houston ISD’s Robert G. Cole High School showcases the work from their AP Photography class. Students in this class learn everything there is to know about photography, from still life, different lighting techniques, working with “on-location portraiture”, and much more. Advanced Photography students are gaining real-life experience and exposure in photography as a part of the school’s CTE program. CTE, Career and Technical Education, is a program offered in schools that teach students valuable lessons in career specific classes.
Why AP Photography?
Students interested in pursuing photography as a career have the opportunity of building their portfolio in this class at Robert G. Cole High School. Students have attended events such as St. Pius Fall Gala as photographers, taking portraits for guests and gaining real professional experience in the field. Examples of their work include still life photos of produce, portraits of students and staff, and artistic shots in real-world settings. Students pursuing photography after graduating will already have a portfolio built to help their careers succeed.
