Six Clear Springs High School students joined five other school districts from across the state for the Code @ the Capitol event in Austin presented by Computer Science for Texas (CS4TX).
Janice Thomas, Mariam Aziz, Zara Siddiqi, David Corvaglia, Zaid Albustami and Caleb Lightfoot were recognized by the Texas State Legislature and had the opportunity to showcase their computer science projects while teaching representatives how to code.
“I am very proud of my students for advocating for their passions and excelling in the learning,” said Charles Wang, Clear Springs computer science teacher. “It is inspiring to witness my students take ownership of their education and pursue their interests in computer science with such enthusiasm. It is particularly gratifying when I can see my students apply the concepts they have learned in real-world situations.”
