Lamar CISD Superintendent Welcomes Students Back to School
Dr. Roosevelt Nivens of Lamar Consolidated ISD is a superintendent that is highly visible in the district and involved in the community.
Dr. Nivens Visits District Schools
Dr. Nivens believes in the power of relationships, and he works to establish a good rapport with students, parents, community members, and business leaders.
Superintendent Nivens made appearances throughout Lamar CISD schools to welcome students and staff back to school. He helped in the car line, surprised kids in classrooms and libraries, and shook hands with important staff like the custodial workers and district police officers.
Dr. Nivens joined Lamar CISD as the Superintendent of Schools in 2021.
His priorities include student safety, high academic achievement, and student social-emotional wellbeing.
