We work with our member school districts to highlight students, educators, and schools. From our media partnerships, to our own in-house spotlights, we focus on the students and educators who inspire us all. Stories center around character, leadership, talent, academic rigor, career preparation, kindness, and compassion. Our program spotlights feature knowledge, skill, and talent from student submissions. See below for the exciting features and events that make our schools and communities proud.

In partnership with Thursday Night Lights on San Antonio’s CW35, we spotlight an outstanding teacher from the featured high schools.

COOL SCHOOLS: SA LIVE, KSAT 12

We collaborate with KSAT in an initiative called “Cool Schools”. The stories celebrate exemplary students, programs, and educators throughout San Antonio-area’s ISDs.

Every year, We Go Public teams up with the Spurs for We Go Public Night. Teachers, students, and our ISDs are recognized in a fun-filled, fan event.

HEROES FOR HEALTH

Elementary schools partner with local police, fire, and military for a city-wide physical activity and nutrition event. A Bexar County School Boards Coalition initiative.

COOL SCHOOLS: HOUSTON LIFE

Cool Schools on KPRC’s Channel 2 and Houston Life, featured academic and extracurricular programs, outstanding students, schools, and teachers throughout Houston and Gulf Coast-area ISDs.

GREAT DAY HOUSTON

Host Deborah Duncan interviewed leadership and KHOU featured We Go Public Gulf Coast districts’ academic and extracurricular programs. 

STUDENT BUS ART

San Antonio transit buses feature high school student art, in addition to elementary school students submissions in the Texas Cavaliers art contest. Support from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
