We Go Public is a Big Voice for Public Education in Texas!

We Go Public promotes the great things happening in Texas’ Independent School Districts. From academics to extracurriculars, all students can access so many choices.  We Go Public also while educates parents and students about the choices and benefits of a PreK-12 public education.

We are dedicated to communicating the benefits of public education through online advocacy and promotion. 

  1. We speak with one voice through the message “Great things happen in public schools”.
  2. We create awareness about the benefits of public education by amplifying student and school successes.
  3. We serve as a digital advocate for public schools through digital and online efforts, social media, partnerships, and grassroots efforts.
  4. We publish content about academic programs and services, public education topics, and parent guides.
  5. We offer Texas ISDs profile pages on our website to link directly to their own district sites.
  6. We provide parents tools and resources to learn what public schools offer.
  7. We educate about the amazing programs and services available to all students.
  8. We enthusiastically share the positive stories happening in our featured ISDs.

About We Go Public - Timeline

2013

Sixteen Independent School Districts (ISDs) in San Antonio founded a campaign called Go Public. The campaign was housed under the school board trustee member and 501 c3 non-profit, Bexar County School Boards Coalition. The Coalition hired a creative agency to develop the Go Public campaign. 

2016

The Coalition contracts Lisa Losasso Jackson to build and develop the Go Public campaign in San Antonio. Lisa serves as the Executive Director of the campaign. 

2017

ISDs in the Houston/Gulf Coast region came together to form their own Go Public Gulf Coast and 501 c3 non-profit.  GPGC contracts Lisa Losasso Jackson to build and develop the region. 

2022 -2024

We Go Public, a 501 c3, is founded by Lisa Losasso Jackson to eventually serve ISDs statewide in Texas. We Go Public is a separate entity from Bexar County School Boards Coalition and Go Public Gulf Coast.

San Antonio and Houston Go Public campaigns ran alongside the building of the We Go Public platform funded by the Charles Butt Foundation. 

2024

Partnership with Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) powering the Celebrate Texas Public Schools campaign.
