A second Little Free Library now stands at the Alief ISD Administration building, thanks to the Education Foundation and the Tinubu family.
The Tinubu family donated the library in honor of Sanya Nicole Henry Tinubu. Under the direction of Charla Hollingsworth, the Library Services department received the 2021 Librarians Change Communities Award from the Texas Library Association.
These libraries were built by CTE students and painted by Elsik students.
The Texas Library Association’s mission is to unite and amplify voices of the library community through advocacy, education, and intentional equity, diversity, and inclusion. It is an integral partner, innovative leader, and passionate advocate for Texas libraries and librarians.
