South San Antonio ISD students at South San Antonio High School have been busy with their CTE programs and groups as they explore opportunities and excel with awesome achievements.
South San Antonio High School Students on the Robotics team and in the Manufacturing Engineering class visited Pressure Systems International to demonstrate their robot to manufacturing companies around San Antonio. The students also got to tour the PSI manufacturing plant and talk to representatives from the San Antonio Manufacturing Association about careers in manufacturing. Additionally, South San Antonio High School Engineering students in the drone certification program took a trip to Torch Athena Aviation. Students were able to talk to USAF personnel about aviation careers, walk through different aircraft, and try a flight simulator. Finally, the South San Antonio High School CTE IT Pathway, which is the foundation of the Bobcat Esports Program, reached a milestone with the completion of the 50th in-house Desktop/Gaming System since it began! Overall the program has given students the opportunity to build over 75 new systems and by the end of this year, that number will be over 100.
Students at South San Antonio High School have been busy making great achievements and exploring more about their specific interests within CTE. The students have been able to demonstrate their amazing skills and also continue to learn about the opportunities they have in the future!
