Dr. Gary Bates, an exceptional school director, is a dedicated and experienced educator who currently serves as the Superintendent of Fort Sam Houston Independent School District. With 25 years of experience in the field of education, the FSHISD Superintendent’s career has encompassed various roles, including athletic coach/coordinator, history teacher, junior high/high school assistant principal, junior high/high school principal, and now, as a school superintendent. He enjoys taking selfies and having a great time at various events and activities.
