Harlandale ISD hosted a two-day CTE Marketing Expo focused on providing hands on experience to current CTE (Career and Technical Education) students and staff. The event at McCollum High School featured representatives from more than a dozen industries like architects, lawyers and IT experts. Students learned about exciting career paths, networked with potential employers and received tips for polishing their resumes and acing mock interviews.
Even 8th graders participated in the fun, exploring the amazing options Harlandale ISD offers students such as Robotics, Cosmetology, Automotive Technology, Culinary Science and more!
“Every February, the CTE community celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success.” As we celebrate CTE Month, let’s recognize the vital role of public schools in preparing students for the real world.
