The TIA program’s primary objective is to prioritize educators. By incentivizing their continued commitment, the program aligns campuses with the district’s mission and vision initiatives. Teachers eligible for the TIA can earn one of three designations: Recognized, Exemplary, or Master. These designations reflect the quality and impact of their teaching. Additionally, higher levels of recognition bring greater rewards.

The total incentive allotment considers three factors. First, it looks at the teacher’s designation level. Second, it considers the campus’s socioeconomic status. Third, it takes into account the campus’s rural status. These awards will be distributed annually for the next five years. Consequently, this ensures sustained support and recognition for the dedicated teachers of South San Antonio ISD.

In addition to financial rewards, the TIA program fosters a culture of excellence and professional growth. Teachers in South San Antonio ISD are motivated to enhance their skills and strategies to achieve higher designations. This ongoing development benefits not only the teachers but also the students, who receive higher quality education. As a result, the district expects to see continuous improvement in student outcomes, further reinforcing the value of investing in exceptional educators.
