Dickinson ISD Froberg’s Farm Field Trip

Dickinson students collected strawberries.

Dickinson ISD recently organized a trip for San Leon Elementary School students to Froberg’s Farm, a beloved local destination. Here, students and their families engaged in a variety of educational activities, including picking strawberries and vegetables, observing the stages of the strawberry’s life cycle, and enjoying playful activities such as corn kernel and sand pits.

Froberg’s Farm, located in Dickinson, is open to the public year-round, offering a variety of homegrown fruits, vegetables, and eggs. Beyond their own produce, they also feature a diverse selection of fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from other areas.

One of the highlights at Froberg’s Farm is their “Pick Your Own” experience, available throughout the year (seasonally for certain fruits and vegetables). Strawberry-picking, particularly popular from January through late May, allows visitors to enjoy a hands-on agricultural experience.
