Needville ISD empowers student success through robust certification programs in Health Science, including pathways in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and First Aid/CPR/AED. These programs equip students with essential healthcare skills, laying a solid foundation for future careers in the medical field.
Complementing these certifications, Needville High School hosts a diverse range of engaging science programs throughout the academic year. In the Pharmacology program, students gain practical skills like compounding medication, preparing them for hands-on roles in healthcare. Concurrently, students enrolled in Medical Terminology conduct experiments exploring nerve endings, applying their biological sciences knowledge.
In the Dual Credit Biology class, students delve into advanced lab activities such as Gel Electrophoresis, analyzing DNA fragments from simulated crime scenes. These hands-on experiences not only deepen their understanding of forensic science but also foster critical thinking and scientific inquiry among students.
