Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD students at Lake Country Elementary School explored Mars and beyond with a planetarium put on by the Lake Country Elementary Library Services team! They were amazed by the stars, planets, and our galaxy, experiencing space like never before!
The young scientists participated in an immersive space show, sitting together in a pitch-dark tent, as projected images illuminated a bright journey in space ahead of them — with pictures of satellites, Saturn, and other planets too! They moved farther and farther away from Earth, exploring space and building crucial STEM knowledge.
Later, because of the school’s generous and resourceful librarians, these Lions had access to specially-provided rocks, powders, and pieces of meteors to examine. Additionally, curious students learned about the history of space flight by walking through the library’s assorted stories, with a guest speaker to match. What a fun way to learn about our science and our galaxy!
