Graduation Timeline

Houston and Gulf Coast area high school graduation ceremonies celebrate the thousands of dedicated students who successfully complete their Foundation High School Program requirement.  Whether our graduates are headed for military service, higher education, or immediate careers, their public school education thoroughly prepares them for the next step.

Additional Resources for Graduation Day

Prior to the Ceremony

  • Eat and stay hydrated.
  • Apply sunscreen
  • Charge phones, cameras, etc.
  • During the ceremony:
  • Make sure you have your cap, gown, cords, stole, etc.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • If you bring other items (tissues, phone, chapstick,) they should fit in your pocket.
  • Stay off of your phone until the ceremony ends.

Ideas for Graduation Day Gifts

  • Cash- It’s the gift that is easy and appreciated!
  • Portable phone charger- These are useful for when you are away from home but you can’t locate an outlet
  • Amazon Prime Membership- This is something everyone needs, especially if you no longer live with parents.
  • Exercise gear or Gym membership 
  • Voice controlled assistant- These help with organization, alarms, reminders, and research.
  • Bike- Doubly helpful for exercise and getting quickly around your campus or work.
  • Streaming music, TV, or movie subscription
  • Headphones, Earbuds- One can never have too many listening accessories.
  • Laptop, ipad
  • Coffee maker- An essential for adult life!
